Marcus’ principle area of practice is employment and industrial law with a focus on the construction and resources sector.
Marcus also practices in workplace health and safety, workers compensation, environment, native title, and with regard to local content under major resource development agreements, including international projects.
Prior to joining the Bar, Marcus spent 25 years practising in the law governing workplace relations. He has extensive experience in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland. His current practice is focused on these jurisdictions and includes South Australia.
For the past 10 years Marcus has taught Employment and Industrial Practice at the Australian National University and has previously served as an Expert Panel Review Member for the LexisNexis Regulatory Compliance series.
Marcus’ accepts briefs to appear before the Fair Work Commission, and Federal, State and Territory Courts and relevant Tribunals.
Marcus provides advice on workplace investigations, discipline and conduct inquiries.
